Back in 2008 Adidas released a t-shirt featuring a skull design made inly from images of the Adidas Superstar. Following the success of the t-shirt, these shoes have the 'skulltoe' design along the upper and throughout the shoe.
The skulls are embossed in to the upper giving a subtle 3d effect. The shoes also feature suede stripes, plain instep, and skull logos on the tongue and the clear sole.
These were only available at select retailers, and are hard to find now.
